Jacob Javits Fellowship     2008 This prestigious fellowship provides students of superior academic ability to undertake study at the doctoral and Master of Fine Arts level in selected fields of arts, humanities, and social sciences.

1st Place Collage Cartoonist Award     2008 Illinois College Associated Press competition.  First place for F News magazine editorial cartoon at the School of Art Institute of Chicago.

Student Society for News Design Awards     2008 First Place winner in the “Magazine Cover” and “Illustration” categories of the student branch of the professional association for newspaper designers.

Center for Regional Studies Fellowship     2007 The Center for Regional Studies department at the University of New Mexico graduate school Fellowship.

World Studio AIAG Scholarship 2007 Scholarship for Artists that dealing with Political Social themes.

Madonna Daniel Award 2007 The Harwood Art Center award for emerging artists.

Mark of Excellence Award     2006 Society of Professional Journalists, Region 9, First place winner and National Finalist.  Collegiate journalism in the category of Editorial Cartooning.

De Colores Unsung Student Hero Award     2006 An award given to Hispanics that have in some way given back to their communities.

New Mexico Associated Press Awards     2005 Best Graphic Illustrator for a College Newspaper with the Daily Lobo, The University of New Mexico’s student newspaper.
